I photographed several doors during my 3 mo. stay in Dublin. Each one of them had character. I was drawn to these two in particular because of the brilliant colored doors against the worn brick and stone. They were just a few minutes outside Dublin's city center.

a surreal italian scene - david in the flesh - 11x14

DALIVID
I did this painting near the end of my study abroad semester for a free-choice class assignment. I had just fallen in love with Salvador Dali's work after seeing a 200+ piece exhibit of his in Venice. I was told it'd be the largest collection of his work I'd see in my lifetime. This painting is an attempt at his surreal style, while incorporating some of the iconic pieces of Italy, including Michelangelo's david. So we call like to call this, "dalivid".

portrait of kelly - 12x12

I did this oil painting portrait as a gift for my friend, Kelly's birthday. I used roses in the background because her room was full rose prints. I loved how it turned out.
